Get Your Invitation to Singing For You This is our Christmas charity concert for 2009 The charity we have chosen to benefit from the proceeds of this concert is The Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust. They are based in Yateley. The choir are delighted to have joining with them in the programme to be presented Richard Veitch, together with Christopher Smith and Ben Pugsley. They are each local classically trained guitarists with a wide repertoire ranging from Elizabethan to the present day. The Brightwells Gostrey Centre off East Street Farnham |
This afternoon concert is for the benefit of the members of The Gostrey Centre We shall be singing for the clients and helpers after their lunch time get-together. Background:- The Brightwells Gostrey Centre is situated in the centre of Farnham, off East Street. It is a registered Charity. It is named after its location and a previous Charity. The main objective is to benefit the older residents of Farnham - (the clients) - by the organisation and management of a day centre and the provision of various services. The Centre offers a meeting place, refreshments and lunch, recreational activities, outings, therapeutic services and bathing. There are two Minibuses which are used to collect and deliver clients. Staff are employed by the Centre and there are several volunteers, who drive, help in the kitchen and generally help in running the Centre. |
